Education: Washington HS (in the 1980s); Bachelor of Arts - History: University of Wyoming (1997)
I’m the current financial supervisor for, and full-time member of, the South Dakota Air National Guard, having crossed over from the US Army outside of Washington, DC, Wyoming, Western Nebraska, and then back to my hometown of Sioux Falls in 2000. We’ve been attending Hillcrest since 2002, and loving it!
Hobbies: The top one is time with my own family, including the love of my life, Sheri, and our four kids. Otherwise: running, working out, playing with my own kids (and other people’s kids when they come to Hillcrest), Boy Scouts, reading, teaching, and rewarding kids for learning about the Bible and Jesus.
Department: Elder: Youth (180) and Children’s Ministries (May/2015) My passion and calling from God is to share the power and love of Christ with Hillcrest youth and kids from the first time that they enter our church doors. Much of the time, that involves me being as silly (I do cartoon voices) as they are! I seriously do subscribe to Jesus’s admonition of Matthew 19:4: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Welcome to our wonderful Hillcrest Church!
