8/3/2023 0 Comments Being Useful to OthersRobots are programmed to meet a need. Jesus came to serve those in need, many in hopeless situations – like the blind man and the woman at the well. He calls us to patiently serve and love others.
Questions for further thought: 1. What is your attitude when it comes to serving others? 2. What area you would like to get involved in to serve others? Challenge: Pre-decide on one or two acts of service you are going to start doing yet this summer or starting in the fall. There are many worthy organizations that need volunteers.

8/2/2023 0 Comments Perceiving Our EnvironmentRobots are programmed to sense their environment. Jesus was completely aware of the people and situations around him and knew the words people needed to hear. He wants us to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and sense our environment so we can speak life to others.
Questions for further thought: 1. Who are those who are hurting or struggling at your workplace, in your family or in your church? 2. What are some ways you could help encourage them? Challenge: Pre-decide to be a compassionate person and speak life to others. Often the hardest place to start is in your own family but make the choice to start there. Every robot needs a power source to be able to operate. The same is true for us. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to live up to our potential as Christians. God will supply what we need so we can serve Him. Without Him, our actions don’t reap the results He intends.
Questions for further thought: 1. In what way have you relied on your own power to do something? 2. How have you experienced the Holy Spirit’s power? Challenge: Read Philippians 4:19 aloud and repeat it. Think about how the creator of the universe will meet all of our needs as we do His will. |
