Background: I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduating from Washington High School, I moved to Vermillion to study elementary education at The University of South Dakota. Upon graduating in 2009, I started my teaching career at Cleveland Elementary. I taught first grade for one year and fifth grade for two years. I currently teach fourth grade at Lowell MST in addition to running the Powerhouse Tutoring Center. I recently received a Master of Science degree in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University (Marshall, MN). I have been attending Hillcrest since 2011 and I consider myself very blessed to call Hillcrest my church home.
Hobbies: I love teaching, serving, and working with children in many realms of life. Mission trips weigh heavy on my heart, and I have been fortunate enough to travel to Haiti twice to conduct teacher trainings and serve in orphanages there. Besides working with children, I also love to run, play basketball, go camping, and sit around a campfire with family and friends during the summer.
