Operation Christmas Child
What they do: Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situation around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This unique project of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be in a simple, hand-on missions outreach while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus—God’s greatest gift.
Why we care: Micah 6:8 tells us that God requires us to, “do what is right” and “to love mercy”. Operation Christmas Child give individuals and families an opportunity to show God’s love to some of the most under resourced people in the world. We may not all be able to go to the people, but we can all be a part of sending this love, one shoebox at a time.
How we help: It’s very simple, pick out a boy or a girl, go buy age appropriate items from toys to personal care items, fill the shoebox and drop it off during the collecting week. The box will be shipped and delivered to a child half a world away...with your love. This is a great opportunity for the whole family. You can do one box, two boxes or a hundred...it’s up to you!
