Jesus: The Final Sacrifice for Sin

Leviticus 5:5-13; John 3:16-17

In Leviticus, we read about the different sacrifices the Israelites had to make based on the sins they committed.  In this particular passage, we see how God provided a means for sacrifice even to those who could not afford it.  In the New Testament, God provides one means of atonement for sin for all -Jesus.  Regardless of who you are, your financial situation, and/or your livelihood, we may have forgiveness of sin and eternal life if we believe in God’s one and only son.  Even in the beginning, God knew He would need to send His son to save us because of our sinful nature and yet He still created the world and everyone in it.

Questions for further thought:
1. Think about a time in your life that was negative or hurtful.  How did you grow or change as a person as a result of this?
2. How might your life be different had that event not occurred? 

​Challenge: We will sin.  We will have problems in our lives here on Earth.  However, there is salvation and help if we only seek, learn and grow as God designed us.  Pray for forgiveness and guidance today.
