God created us, and He created us FOR Him (i.e. – to know Him and to be WITH Him forever). But then, Genesis 2 came (“The Fall”) and it’s no question why we long to be with our Father. David encapsulated this deep desire well in the Psalms he wrote, as he certainly tried hard to know our God. But how did he do it and how do we?
Questions for further thought: 1. Do we have the same daily longing for God as David showed in the Psalms? 2. How do we manage (or can we?) this deep, deep longing to be with our Creator? Challenge: Choose a Psalm or part of one to work on memorizing this week. Allow the repetition to focus your spirit on who God is and the intimacy He desires with you.
