The Lord's Will and Us

Psalm 135:6; Genesis 7:16

We know that God thinks differently than we do (and for good reason; He’s God and we most definitely are not). Everything in the universe goes according to what He wills. And since we are the created, and not the Creator, we literally have no say in what our purpose is. That’s for God, and God alone, to insist upon as the Creator.

Questions for further thought:
1. Do you often remember that God is the Creator, and we aren’t?
2. Do you live your life with that realization each and every day?

Challenge: Since we were born, naturally, we’ve focused on ourselves and what we need to do to survive. But the challenge is to overcome that and remember to lean on the Lord – to remember that He directs our steps each and every day. Help us, Lord, to remember that our lives are yours, and that we are to live for you, since you created us in the first place. In your name we pray. Amen.
