The Power of the Throne

Revelation 20:4, 7-10

There are many science fiction stories where the goal of the main characters is to be on the throne. The throne symbolizes power and control. Satan has battled to take over the throne numerous times throughout the Bible. Each time, he has failed. We have a God that cannot, and will not, ever fall off His throne in Heaven. He has all the power and control we will ever need.  

1. How does the picture of the battle between God and the devil cause you to seek Him for guidance?

2. How does knowing that God cannot be overthrown give you peace about His power?

Challenge: Have a conversation with another believer you trust (spouse, family member, close friend) about where you need God’s power to intervene in both your life and the other believer’s life. Pray for each other to let God intervene on your lives.
