Top Priority

Matthew 22:34-40

The religious leaders were up to their usual tricks, trying to trap Jesus with their questions. As always, His reply crushed them while simultaneously delivering a great truth. Nothing is more important than loving God with all we have. To the extent we are able to live the greatest commandment, we are able to obey the second – to love others as we love ourselves. God sent Jesus as the ultimate expression of His love so that we might have the power to make loving the Father and the Son our top priority.

1. It’s a big ask, but how would you say you’re doing in terms of loving God with everything you have?
2. To what extent does your relationship with God impact your interaction with others each day?
