The men’s faith under threat of being tossed into a blazing hot furnace rightly inspires awe. What’s even more amazing is the fact that they admitted to understanding that God might not rescue them from the king, yet they were still committed to their course. They would NOT worship the statue. These men had pre-decided to be faithful and only worship the Lord.
Questions for further thought: 1. What situation or outcome would make it extra difficult for you to stay faithful to God? 2. How can you prepare yourself now to stay committed? Challenge: Practice integrity at all times with even the little things in life. This helps make being faithful second nature and builds spiritual strength. Then when the big challenges come, we are more ready to follow through no matter the outcome.
