8/7/2024 0 Comments Truth and ConsequencesAs Pastor Brian stressed in his message on Jonah, our choices have consequences. Adam and Eve made choices that still impact us today. The fact is that our life is an endless stream of choices, some seemingly unimportant and others clearly monumental. All those choices are not made in a vacuum but are guided by a set of beliefs. The truth you choose has consequences, for you and for others.
Questions for further thought: 1. What guides your major decisions (for example, comfort, peer approval, honoring God)? 2. What has guided some of your best decisions? How about your not-so-great ones? Challenge: Pastor Brian’s example of a grocery cart hit home with me. Such a simple example of a daily object that can cause so much chaos. Next time you make a choice that you know is wrong because you are in a hurry or think it won’t affect anyone, think again and make a better choice.
