Who's in Charge?

Matthew 6:33; Romans 8:28

If we’re honest, our doubts about God’s ability to control politics are fueled by our fears and our weak faith. We think that, somehow, humans can thwart the will of God. We need to remember that more wicked rulers than ours have been in control before, and God still brought about his purpose. If God is for us, who can be against us?

Questions for further thought:
1. How much time do you spend worrying about the policies, motives and plans of your political opponents?
2. What do you think it would look like if we spent that much time praising God and praying that his will be done by the leaders of our country?

​Challenge: Seek to live out these verses that have sustained so many people in difficult circumstances. Give your political concerns over to God and ask him to help you remember that he is always relentlessly working for our good.
