3/3/2021 0 Comments Reading the Bible Will HelpIn this message, Paul encourages Timothy to rely on what he had learned and trust in the scriptures he had studied to equip him for every good work. Just like Timothy, we need to look to the scriptures for guidance and for reassurances of God’s promises. When we are struggling to know what to do, the Bible can help point us to His will.
Questions for further thought: 1. What verse or passage have you leaned on in the past? 2. How did that verse or passage help? Challenge: If you have not a passage or verse to lean on, read Psalm 23 and considering leaning on these verses in your times of need.

3/2/2021 0 Comments No Matter WhatPaul wrote this letter while in prison. Considering all that Paul went through, he relied on God for everything and in this passage, he states that he can do all things through Him who gives him strength. God will give us strength to endure whatever is going on in our lives. We need only trust and lean on Him.
Questions for further thought: 1. What do you need God’s strength for today? 2. Sometimes we just need to remember a time He was with us in order to trust today. When was a time God provided for you? Challenge: Pray for God to give you strength to continue with the work He would have you do. 3/1/2021 0 Comments Living with a ThornIn this passage, Paul acknowledges that he suffered with some affliction and after discussing it with God, he boasted about his weakness. In his weakness, God was with Paul and as a result, Paul did great things. The same is true for us. God is with us when we are weak and if we trust, we will also do great things.
Questions for further thought: 1. What thorn do you have? 2. What does that thorn prevent you from doing? Challenge: Pray that God will give you the strength to overcome your “thorn” and do the great things He has planned for you. |
