9/2/2022 0 Comments From Redemption to RefinementThis week we’ve thought much on how to forgive ourselves. This is the first step towards redemption (once we allow God control over our lives). But it’s only a first step. What if I told you that God wishes more for you than mere redemption? Read the verse above for the great continuation of God’s plan for us.
Questions for further thought: 1. Do you know what God’s plan is for you, in its totality? 2. Do you embrace it as a living reality? Challenge: God so loves us, and He wants more for us than just redeeming us from sin, guilt, and shame (though that’s quite good in and of itself). Pray that we allow Him to work in us daily so that we “finish the race” with Him leading us all of the way to becoming as He would wish us to become. In His name, Amen.

9/1/2022 0 Comments From Shame to RedemptionIn God’s Word and will, you notice that there’s always a path to something better. That something IS Him and living IN Him. Again, guilt is natural for something we understand that we did wrong or sinned. But let’s remember that sin and guilt CAN be used by God for His good purposes, which are, by definition, good FOR us too.
Questions for further thought: 1. Do you hold on to your guilt and try to “think” your way out of too many situations? 2. Do you recognize that you need to ask God how He would like to use this guilt for His power and plan for you? Challenge: Don’t necessarily suppress guilt; DO allow shame to be taken away so that God can use you for His purposes. He wishes to redeem you even in the midst of great shame and guilt. Let Him and let Him do it today. |
