5/3/2022 0 Comments How Deep the Father's LoveHow we react when God doesn’t act as we think He should has a lot to do with what we really believe about His character. Significant hardship, great loss, illness, and a list of other troubles can make us question His love. This passage, and many others, illustrate the truth that God is a good Father who sees us as His children. He loves us and wants to give us good gifts. He longs for us to lean into His love when the hard times come and trust in His care.
Questions for further thought: 1. How has your relationship with your father affected your image of God? 2. Where does this image come from, and how does it affect your approach to Him? Challenge: The fact that God sent His son to die for us is the ultimate proof of his great love for you and for me. Meditate on Romans 8:35-39 today. Change the words “us” and “we” to “me.”

5/2/2022 0 Comments Who Is God?Isaiah 46:5-9 Throughout recorded history, mankind has searched for someone or something to worship…some force greater than themselves. Defying logic, societies often chose to worship an image or object created with their own hands – something they could understand and manage. As such, He cannot be commanded or controlled.
Questions for further thought: 1. How has your understanding of who God is changed as you have walked with Him? 2. What is the hardest aspect of God’s character for you to come to terms with? How does that impact your relationship with Him? Challenge: Find three Bible passages that describe the greatness of God and His superiority to all other human substitutes. Thank Him for loving you and recommit to yielding control of your life to Him. |
