7/3/2020 0 Comments Selfless LoveWe all know that service towards others is what God calls Christians to do. We must be careful however, that our attitude to serve each other does not give us a false sense of humbleness. The cure to pride is love. If I love well and don’t brag about my actions, I will not be easily arrogant or easily provoked. My actions will be done in kindness. Love, after all, is selfless in its very nature.
Questions for further thought: 1. Have you ever experienced false humility? 2. What happens when you tell others how you are serving others? Is this false humility? Challenge: Try doing an act of service this week without being noticed or commended.

An attitude that communicates superiority over other people. Those who think themselves higher than others are ready to fall under the fair judgement of God. Let’s face it, falling is embarrassing, even if no one saw you fall. But we must turn to God to teach us the virtue of humility.
