Selfless Love

​1 Corinthians 13:4-6 

We all know that service towards others is what God calls Christians to do. We must be careful however, that our attitude to serve each other does not give us a false sense of humbleness. The cure to pride is love. If I love well and don’t brag about my actions, I will not be easily arrogant or easily provoked. My actions will be done in kindness. Love, after all, is selfless in its very nature. 

Questions for further thought:
1. Have you ever experienced false humility? 

2. What happens when you tell others how you are serving others? Is this false humility?   

Challenge: Try doing an act of service this week without being noticed or commended.
