10/3/2023 0 Comments The AdversaryAs you undoubtedly know, the leader of the opposing forces is Satan. Unlike God, he is not omnipresent, omniscient or omni-anything. But as this passage points out, he is active. He is powerful, he has a purpose, and he commands an army. But he has also been defeated at the cross, and God has given us access to the Holy Spirit and His power to fight against him.
Questions for further thought: 1. How do you respond when you feel like you’re under attack spiritually? 2. What part might/should our spiritual family play in these situations? Challenge: Go to “the Google” and enter “the Lord fights for you.” Copy several of these verses, meditate on them today and keep them as reference for times when you need the reminder.

10/2/2023 0 Comments By the Way, We’re at WarThis may seem obvious, but the first step in winning a battle is realizing you’re in one. Paul is pretty clear about the fact that every believer is in a fight. The enemies are both unseen and powerful. For the believer, the fight for your soul was won at the cross. The battle for your mind and your effectiveness as a representative of Christ, continues.
Questions for further thought: 1. Why is it important to recognize that a spiritual battle exists? 2. What evidence of this battle have you seen in your life? Challenge: This week recognize when you are being pulled in a different direction than you know you should be going. The battle is waged and you must fight to do right. |
