It is natural to think of it as a one-sided exchange, but I don't believe that is what God has in mind. We are to be in relationship with our neighbors, family, friends, co-workers, everyone around us. Then, and only then, will we begin to discover what needs they truly have, not just what we see from the outside. That is when we realize it is a two-way street, a give and take that benefits us as well.
1. Think for a moment, who is that one person in your life you need to be in relationship with? 2. What is going to be your first step to begin? Challenge: We all have busy schedules and time frames that we need to meet in our lives. Work, family obligations, church, all good things but they can take over all your time. We all need to allow time in our schedules for building relationships with others. Don't get so caught up in the next thing on your to do list that you miss opportunities that are right in front of you.
