Excuses

Exodus 3, 4:1-17

God had obviously already chosen Moses as His instrument to free the captive Israelites from bondage in Egypt. But when God revealed that plan to Moses, the doubts and excuses started. "I don't speak well. Pharaoh probably won’t listen to me. Who am I to lead these people out of Egypt?" God's plan will not be denied by our doubts. His plans are perfect and we need to fall in line with them in faith. 

Questions for further thought:
1.  What did God do to convince Moses?
2.  How did Moses respond?  

Challenge: What lessons can we take from this story? That God has an answer for every one of our doubts. As He did with Moses, He will do for You. He assured Moses that He would be with him every step of the way and give Him words and power to perform miracles. Ask God for that kind of help when you are struggling.
