In ancient times, Epicureans thought that all of life was contained with “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!” It’s true that we will die (eventually). It’s also true that we need to eat and drink and (occasionally) be merry on different occasions. But is this the way that our Lord wants us to live our entire lives?
Questions for further thought: 1. How do you plan your day? 2. Do you plan (make time) for the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ, regularly? Challenge: Our days (and time) are numbered, and that doesn’t include the time we’re asleep. Nevertheless, we must pray to be available, and willing, to give of ourselves to our brothers and sisters in this world. They need us, and need Him. Help us to show Him to our fellow brothers and sisters in this world, both saved and unsaved. Amen.
