Is God Feminine?

Isaiah 66:13; Hosea 13:8

All of us are made in the image of God. In Genesis 1:27, God says he made us in his image and then defines that image as male and female. With that understanding, we can see that God has male and female within his nature so that even though God uses the he/him pronouns, every feminine characteristic came from him and is within him. This is why God can be referred to as being like a mother who comforts her child (Isa. 66:13) or as a mother bear robbed of her cubs (Hosea 13:8).

Question 1: How would you respond to someone who said God is also our mother?
Question 2: How would you explain how God is he and feminine?

Challenge: Work hard to understand that God is not a male just because we say he when referring to God. He is all that is male and female, for we were made in his image.
