Whenever you go somewhere (hopefully), you know where you’re going, how to get there, and how long it will take to do so. But what if you weren’t entirely sure how long it would take, or where you’d go? This was what the kings of the East found when they were travelling by the light of a star. They didn’t know what or whom they were seeking, but they knew they had to travel by that light. And we know what they found.
Questions for further thought:
1. Do you ever wonder where you’re going in your life, how long it’ll take to get there, and why?
2. Do you ever think about asking God to give you light and direction?
Challenge: We all want to have a sense that we know what we’re here for and where we’re going in life. There’s no better guide than our Father in heaven for that, since He’s the one who created us for His purpose in the first place. Pray to Him today for that guiding light in your life, just as He guided the travelers to His historic birthplace.
