Knowing Where to Look

1 Kings 19:11-13

If you were Elijah, how would you expect to hear from the mighty God of the universe? I would have picked the wind, the earthquake or the fire. Elijah knew God had arrived when he heard the gentle whisper because he had learned to listen to the Creator’s voice. That’s still the best way to follow the God of the unexpected today.

Questions for further thought:
1. How do you seek God’s direction in your daily life?
2. Can you think of a time when you were able to clearly discern God’s leading in a situation? How were you directed?  

​Challenge: Take a walk today. Notice the sounds that you hear. Notice God in the everyday.
