Love & Honor

Romans 12:9-10

We can honor others in one of two ways. One involves ulterior motives. However, God’s way of honor is different as it mainly involves an attitude of love. As Christians, we honor people because they have been created in God’s image. God calls us to real and sincere love that goes far beyond pretense and politeness. Sincere love requires concentration and effort. Let us be a people that express our love in a tangible and real way.

1. In what way(s) do you see God’s example of showing honor being difficult or impossible? Why do you think that is true? 

2. In what ways could we outdo each other in showing honor? How could we demonstrate our commitment to putting others first?
