Obey Pastor Doug

Hebrews 13:17

Ha! Gotcha on this one! This is a hard verse for your pastor and it’s a hard verse for church members. We don’t like being told to obey and we don’t trust leaders. But there is a breakdown when we do not allow those in authority to have authority when they correctly use that authority. There is a reason for this verse and it is for the benefit of the Church.


Question 1: What are your thoughts about obeying the elders and pastors of Hillcrest?

Question 2: What have they asked you to do that you have decided not to do?


Challenge: Consider the requests of the church leaders and discern if they are asking for the betterment of the church. Then decide if you will obey.
