The Jewish-Gentile debate may not be as relevant today as it was in the first century, but sadly, attitudes of exclusivism still exist within the church. As the people of God, we are in Christ, set apart for God, and are made aware that we stand before Him clothed in the righteousness of Christ. What makes the people of God so beautiful is that they are not exclusive. God welcomes anyone from any nation and any circumstance to share in His blessing.
Questions for further thought:
1. What was God’s purpose in separating Jews and Gentiles in the first place?
2. What question did the disciples ask Jesus in Matthew 18:21-35?
Challenge: Read Matthew 18:21-35
