Speaking the Unspeakable

Romans 8:26-28

When you’re dealing with sorrow, hurt or anxiety, where do you turn? We know we have a Father who is not only instantly accessible but also intimately familiar with our situation. But at times, we don’t even know what to say. That’s when the Holy Spirit steps in, interpreting our “groanings” and bringing them before God. Even when we’re hurting beyond words, God hears our cries.


Questions for further thought:
1. Can you think of a time when you were so distressed that you didn’t even know how to pray about your situation?

​2. How does the fact that the Holy Spirit prays for you make you feel?
