5/1/2019 0 Comments The Eternal SacrificeIn the Old Testament days, the High Priest would need to enter the interior of the Temple on behalf of the Israelites once a year. He would bring ashes and blood of animals sacrificed as atonement for the sins of all the Israelites. The author of Hebrews writes about how Jesus’ entered the Most Holy of Places; and His sacrifice of His body and blood now represents the atonement of our sins.
1. What areas of your life today require the atonement that Jesus’ death provides? 2. Have you prayed for Jesus to remove your past and current sins from your life? If so, how did that change your life? Challenge: Pray to God for the forgiveness of your sins and to turn from those sins when tempted in the future.
