1/20/2023 0 Comments Those Who Can't Yet SeeKnowing that only those who have decided to follow Jesus can fully comprehend spiritual truths impacts how we view non-Christians. As this passage says, they are not yet capable of understanding the things the Spirit makes clear to us. Compassion – not anger, frustration or disgust – is the proper response to the lost. Our lives and attitudes should reflect favorably on the God we know, not throw up roadblocks that may keep the unsaved from seeking Jesus.
Questions for further thought: 1. In general, what is your attitude toward people who don’t follow Christ? 2. What is the best way to go about helping people find Jesus when we don’t speak the same spiritual language? Challenge: Write down an individual or group that really rubs you the wrong way. Then ask God to enable you to see them as God does.
