Way of Death

Proverbs 14:12; 12:15; 16:25

The “way that appears to be right” may offer many options and require few sacrifices. Easy choices, however, should make us take a second look. Is the solution attractive because it allows me to be lazy? Because it doesn’t require me to change my lifestyle. Because it requires no moral restraints? The right choice often requires hard work and self-sacrifice. Don’t be enticed by apparent shortcuts that seem right but end in death.


Questions for further thought:
1. In what ways have the easy options in life seem to be so unsatisfying? 

2. In the hard things that you have experienced, how have you seen God’s hand guiding those events?


Challenge: Don’t be tempted to take the easy path; Read Matthew 7:13-14 and meditate on God’s Word on this subject.
