12/2/2019 0 Comments What Is Greed?Merriam-Webster defines greed as “a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (such as money) than is needed.” The American society is always telling us we never have enough. Advertisers try to tell us their product will make us happier. Their product will make life easier, more popular, safer, etc. Yet Jesus warned us about wanting more. The measurement of our life is in something else.
1. In what areas of your life are you greedy? 2. What advertisements (TV, radio, internet, billboards) cause you to want more worldly possessions? Challenge: Look around and see how advertisers influence you to want more than you need.
