6/1/2021 0 Comments What Would You Give Up?It’s hard – maybe impossible – for us to grasp the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice. We might be willing to trade our life for that of a spouse or child, but how about your worst enemy? That’s what Jesus did. He temporarily set aside His status as the Lord of all creation and the Son of God to work as a carpenter and live for three years as a homeless preacher. What does that say about the depth of His love for us?
Questions for further thought: 1. What would you be willing to give up to help someone you don’t really know…or someone you knew who didn’t like you? 2. What does the fact that Jesus sacrificed so much mean to you personally? Challenge: Jesus gave up a lot to live among us and pay the price necessary to reconcile us to God. With that in mind, what might He be calling you to set aside in order to help others find the gift of grace and forgiveness you have already received?
