What's Your Part?

1 Corinthians 12:19; Romans 12:4–8

If all of us were (metaphorical) noses, we wouldn’t make up much of a church body. Each of us has a unique role to play, and the Bible tells us to seek out that role to fulfill our destinies as children of God. The church is at its best when all its parts work together and all of us know what our individual part – our individual gift – is.

Questions for further thought:
1. Have you earnestly sought to find out what your individual gift is as part of God’s church?
2. What could you do to investigate further what your gift is or what part you have to play in God’s church?  

Challenge: While everyone has natural talents or gifts, the exact part we play in the church body might shift over time. Even if you’ve done a spiritual gifts test before, you could try a free one out online, like this one from Focus on the Family.
