While happiness is dependent on circumstances, our joy rests secure in an unchanging God. Because of our faith in Christ, we can trust that He is always with us and is able to bring us through to salvation. In his presence, there is great joy!
1. Where have life’s circumstances challenged you to choose joy? 2. How can your faith in Christ bring joy regardless of your happiness? Challenge: Throughout each day, take time to notice God’s blessings in your life. Remember—it’s a choice to rejoice!

7/2/2019 0 Comments Shielded in SufferingFaith in Christ does not ensure a pain-free life. Followers of Christ will still experience hardship and suffering, yet we can trust that God is faithful through all things. As we persevere in faith through the midst of our trials, we see God’s faithfulness to work together all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
1. What trials do you struggle to see God working in? 2. How have you seen God’s faithfulness in past trials? Challenge: As you remember God’s faithfulness in previous circumstances, let this encourage you to trust God’s faithfulness in current and future times of trial. 7/1/2019 0 Comments Shielded by God's PowerNo matter the trials that we may face, God is more than able to bring us through them. This same God, who by His power raised Jesus from the dead, is the God who is with us in our trials. His power is very present in our lives, and He even works it in and through us. God does not simply give us a shield to protect us, but He is our shield and protection.
1. Is it hard for you to have faith that God’s power is at work in your life? Why or why not? 2. How have you seen God’s power at work in the midst of your trials? Challenge: As you reflect on these verses and begin to wonder at God’s incredible power, take some time to praise Him for it and let it increase your faith. |
