The Greek word “selah” is used 74 times thorough scripture, but its meaning is still somewhat unclear. All we really know is that is has something to do with how we worship. But how can a word with this much context have such an ambiguous definition, and what could we learn from something that we don’t even fully understand? This week we will dive into “selah” with both feet and discern what we can learn from such an obscure topic.
Busy has become a four-letter word in our culture. If you're busy, our culture says you are over-scheduled or running ragged or trying to do too much. Some of us are afraid to admit how busy we are lest we be shamed or made to feel guilty. Our faith also seems to look down on being busy with Jesus' teaching on "being Mary and not Martha". Is being busy as bad as we think it is? How can we be intentional with our schedules and activities?
