In our final lesson on the Armor of God we will look at the Helmet Of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit. Much like in football you wear a helmet to protect your brain we need to protect our brains and fill it with God’s goodness. The Sword of the Spirit is the Bible and the scriptures & truths should fill our minds and protect us from the devils intentions! Do you ever think about what you think about? Sometimes our thoughts lead us closer to Him ... other times they can hurt us and lead us further away. God designed spiritual armor to protect us. God helmet keeps harmful thinking out of our heads and loving thoughts in.
Pastor Tarina will continue her 5th Sunday Sermons about the Armor of God. A Roman soldier would never go into battle without his breastplate. The breastplate protects his heart, the most important organ we have. So, Paul uses the breastplate to compare the protection piece we need to be righteous.
Miss Tarina's 5th Sunday Sermons features the Armor of God. We know armor allows a soldier to be able to focus less on protecting himself and more on being on the attack. In the same way, as we put our faith in spiritual armor, we can be freed from worries and fears and rather reach out to others.
This Sunday we look at the Belt of Truth. Our culture says truth is relative- that there is no absolute truth. We know the Bible is a reliable source of truth. This belt spiritually keeps our armor in place and holds our faith together.
