The year was 1971 and the song was Imagine. Though not a Beatles song, Imagine was John Lennon’s second solo album and included this song that he hoped would reach a large audience with his message and hope of love. The pages of scripture have echoed the same imagination of a world filled with love. That day will come but for now we are called to be the agents of God’s love. This week, Burke Perry will look closer at this theme and specifically the racial divide in our world today. Don’t miss the third week of Faith in Rock N Roll: The Beatles!
